Harness the qualities of ink, watercolour and charcoal to create works with rhythm and movement in an experimental workshop at our light-filled Squiggla space in Onehunga. Meet at Gow Langsford’s Onehunga Gallery at 1pm to hear artist Grace Wright talk about her solo exhibition, Grand Illusions, before exploring gestural flow-state mark making and layering techniques inspired by a long tradition of artists such as Wassily Kandinsky, Joan Mitchell and Jago Hortal, led by artist and educator Catherine Thomson.
Our Squiggla team will meet participants at the Gow Langsford Gallery entrance at 1.50pm to take you upstairs to our workshop space. We regret that the workshop space is not accessible by lift.
Materials and light refreshments provided. Please wear old clothes or bring an apron.
This workshop is suitable for adults and children 12 years and over who must be accompanied by an adult.
